NEW CINEMATIC ORCHESTRA

The new cinematic orchestra album is about to drop, and from what i have heard so far,it seems like its going to be another masterpiece.Entitled Ma Fleur featuring the new single breathe, and to build a home is available to buy now.
Featuring Fontella Bass and new boy Patrick Watson, currently on tour around Europe and hitting England pretty soon as well. The Cinematic Orchestra can not be slept on,they are one of the few bands around that i have seen several times, and even albums like Everyday, just never seem to get tiresome.Check Ninja tune for ordering the album, and the link to your right to the official Cinematic Orchestra website, with full tour listings/photos and news. Here is the video to possibly my favourite all time song,"All that i give" The cinematic orchestra with Fontella Bass.
Enjoy

JOE BEATS TREATS

Here at the boombip(its easier to type)we are very pleased to give you,not one but two tracks, from JOE BEATS whos new album is called DIVERSE RECOURSE out on BULLY RECORDS.For those in the know, will know how much hype mr joe beats has been creating, for those who dont lets recap.......................................
Joe Beats stepped onto beat junkies’ radars in 2002 with his Non-Prophets production work on such mixtape classics as ‘Bounce’ / ‘Drop Bass’ (Fat Beats) and ‘All Word No Play’ / ‘Majority Rule’ (Landspeed). Enter the Non-Prophets Hope full-length (Lex Records) in 003, showers of critical acclaim, and the first saliva drips from beat fiends around the world waiting for more.

You best believe our hero proved that jeep music was back. Rhythms got flipped inside out, highlighting Joe’s penchant for intricate drum programming and melodic moodiness. Reverse Discourse in 2003 featured a collection of instrumentals done in a raw beat tape style showcasing rhythms composed for emcees, both phantom and real. Indie Rock Blues dropped in 2005, a free-flowing mix collage of Joe remixing some his favorite songs from groups like Belle & Sebastien, Neutral Milk Hotel, Deer Hoof and Songs:Ohia. The music blogosphere took notice, as did left-of-center hip hop producers. Due to its popularity, Beats’ remix of Cunninlynguists' 'Hellfire' caught some heat as a single, and prompted producer Maker to invite Joe on the split ‘Don't Front, I'm Yo Trophy’ 7" (Shake It Records) in Fall 06.
In the meanwhile, Joe's been busy perfecting his live show. Armed with gaggle of samplers, Beats rips apart his beats at the seams and stitches them together again in a mad display of on-stage trickery, sometimes with a DJ on the juggled cuts, sometimes with an emcee spitting some abstract poetic shit, sometimes just on solo steeze.
And as we said earlier,we have some treats from the man himself, and if this wets your appetite then head yourself over to http://www.bullyrecords.com/ and check their other stuff out,and while ya there purchase the album or two as well.
